Subs4What ("the App") is a calm digital‑wellbeing app: a free pause/breathing timer and a camera‑based "stillness challenge", with an optional paid membership and a global leaderboard. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Account & Sign-In: Creating an account is optional. If you choose to sign in, you can do so with Google Sign-In (OAuth) or with an email address and password. When you sign in we collect your email address and an account identifier (user ID) to set up and manage your account across devices. Through Google Sign-In we request only your basic profile and email address; we do not request access to any other Google account data.
Member Number: We store your unique member (supporter) number and registration date in our database, linked to your account identifier.
Subscription Data: Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Google Play. We do not collect or store your payment information. Google Play handles all billing data according to their own privacy policy.
Camera (Stillness Challenge): The optional Stillness Challenge uses your device camera to detect whether a face is present and holding still. All camera processing happens entirely on your device, in real time. Camera frames are never recorded, never saved, and never transmitted off your device. We do not collect, store, or share any images or video.
Leaderboard (optional, members only): If you are a member and choose to publish a result, your best stillness time, your supporter number, an optional nickname you set, and the week the time was set (used for the weekly ranking) are stored in our database and shown publicly on the in‑app leaderboard to all users. Viewing the leaderboard is free and does not require an account. Publishing is entirely optional; if you do not publish, nothing is shared. The leaderboard never displays your email or account identifier. The leaderboard is for ranking only — no prizes, rewards, or payments of any kind are awarded.
We do not collect any of this data for analytics, advertising, or marketing, and none of it is required to open or use the App's free features — accounts and publishing are collected only when you choose to use them.
We do not sell or trade your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. Your email address and account identifier are kept private and are never shown to other users. The one exception is the leaderboard: if you choose to publish a result, your supporter number, optional nickname, and best time are displayed publicly to other users of the App. All data is stored securely in Firebase Firestore and encrypted in transit.
Your data is retained as long as you maintain an account. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time:
You can also use our account deletion page: https://accountdeletion-7cayxfqe2a-uc.a.run.app. When you delete your account, your email address, account identifier, member number, and any leaderboard entry are removed; we do not retain account data after deletion.
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
